Participants will learn basic Tai Chi movements that can be incorporated into clinical practice plus fall prevention, and wellness programs. It is the third course in Susan Welsh’s Therapeutic Tai Chi, Qigong, and Wellness Teacher Certification Program. Participants do not need to pursue teacher certification to take this course, and it may be taken without first attending the Introduction course.

Tai Chi is an easy and relaxing mind-body exercise that has been shown to improve balance and reduce the risk of falls. Tai Chi can also improve mental focus and other physical abilities like strength, mobility, coordination, and agility. Individuals who practice Tai Chi have demonstrated better mental focus, immune function, and sleep.
